  • First, have a way to set up 2 instances of PPSSPP and set them up to play together.
  • Here's a guide that should work. You may have to mess with router settings, so test if you're able to play multiplayer.

Make sure you have enough natural S soldiers to trade for what you'll want.

  • You can run “Rescue Chico” for 1 if you fulton mine or CGFR the sniper
  • “Destroy the Barricade” has 2 in the same area.

If you don't have either of the Fulton weapons, you can save this step until you have your save and the community save on PPSSPP, play the level multiplayer with yourself, and fulton the soldiers.

Technically you could fill your units with S ranks this way as soon as you unlock the trade menu. Also note, most of the combat unit, with a few important exceptions, are A ranks according to the trade menu, as it doesn't account for the morale boost. Grab some A rank soldiers if you want to boost your combat unit.

Next, you need to have your save in PSP format. If you're on PS3, you can use “Transfarring” to make your save compatible with PPSSPP even without a PSP to transfer to. Format a USB drive to FAT32 and make a file path

(USB drive):PSP\SAVEDATA

Plug it into your PS3 and try the “Transfar Out” option. If it doesn't work, try a different USB stick. Some don't work, even when formatted correctly.

For PSP, connect to your PC via USB cable, check the file path

D:\PSP\SAVEDATA

and copy your save onto your computer.

When you have your save data in PSP format, follow the same file path in the PPSSPP folders and drop it there. Do the same with the community save on whatever you're using for your 2nd instance of PPSSPP. You can find community saves in a pinned comment or on SRDC under “Resources”. My save is for the US version, so you'll need to find that version of the game if you've been using another region. Different regions can play together on PPSSPP as far as I know, though they can't on an actual PSP.

Launch both games, move all the soldiers you want to trade on both versions to the trade waiting room, and have your host enter the trade menu. Once you have set up a trade room, search for host with the 2nd game. Trade as you normally would, save, and exit.

Move your save back to the USB drive in the same location and plug it back into your PS3. Transfar In and you'll be good to go.

Take the soldier from the combat unit named “Duck”.
