  • It is highly recommended that you read through the play guide, which can be opened at any time during gameplay by pressing X and selecting GUIDE.
  • When a square is highlighted blue AND the character enters it, you can input the next direction. In other words, a character can still be moving on the square, they do not need to stand in the center for the next move to occur.
  • Ladders are an exception to the above rule. In order to use a ladder, you cannot input to climb/descend until the character stands in the center of the square.
  • If you hold triangle while moving, you can buffer rotations or punches when arriving at the final square. Credit to MarlonH8.
  • Always mash circle on a special effect card to avoid the animation associated with it.
  • You can change whether a card is use or move, even when not on a card that has both functions. This means you can 'roll' your inputs if desired.
  • Tapping triangle between 0 cost repeat turns will save ~0.68 seconds.
  • Whenever you reduce cost, a small animation plays that takes ~3.7 seconds. This is timed from using the card (while mashing) and then returning to the playing hand. If the player has 20 cost, it takes ~4.1 seconds.
  • If you are ever in risk of getting knocked down, make sure to have 2 cards in your hand so the character does not faint.
  • Attacking from the side multiplies the attack value by x1.2, from behind 1.5, from above 1.5. Directional effects can stack (above and behind = x2.25).
  • If you add an <N> card to your deck via IN DECK and confirm it, the other character will not see that card within IN DECK (unless they already had tat card in their deck). Make sure to confirm your deck changes after adjusting both characters.
