Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater FAQ
Q: Do the bullet bees not hit you still if you go into FPV during the Pain's 2nd phase of the boss fight?
A: No, the bullet bees have been fixed in MGS Delta and will hit you if you're in first person view or not.
Q: Does the Fear boss still take non-lethal damage from lethal weapons if being hit by stun first?
A: No, the Fear does no longer take non-lethal damage from lethal weapons like the knife, patriot, traps or other lethal weapons if he's hit by a stun.
Q: Does the time spent in The Sorrow's boss fight get counted towards the IGT?
A: No, just like in the original game, the Sorrow's boss fight sets a checkpoint before the segment begins and as long as you get out of the segment without pressing continue once you died, the IGT does not get added towards the total and instead gets reset to the checkpoint from the start of the fight. Effectively you can walk the entire segment to get the Ghost camo at the end and it will not matter towards the IGT of the game score screen.
Q: Can the End be manipulated in MGS Delta?
A: The arrow manipulation of the old MGS3 games seems to be gone, now the End can spawn in the starting area of Sokrovenno South in one of 2 locations. Additionally, similar to the old MGS3 game, the force teleport to the lower sniping location in Sokrovenno South still works. So you can have him run away after some Mk.22 or EZ Gun shots and he will return back in Sokrovenno South similar to the old game versions. For more info on this check out the boss page section for The End. mgsdse_bosses
Q: Can I still enter the Konami Code on the map view to reveal The End's location?
A: MGS Delta acknowledges the Konami code when you enter it during the fight with The End on the map screen, however the game will not reveal The End's location anymore. Instead it will play one of many voice line's by The End, mocking you for the attempt of utilizing this easter egg. For reference, the Konami code can be input as follows:
- up, up
- down, down
- left, right, left, right
- left face button (X on Xbox, Square on PS controllers)
- top face button (Y on Xbox, Triangle on PS Controllers)
Q: Did the Mosin Nagat get its damage output lowered?
A: As of now, we can confirm that the Mosin Nagat in some boss fights does less damage towards enemies compared to the original MGS3 releases.
Q: Did movement change in MGS Delta? Is the box still required on slopes to have Snake run faster?
A: The movement in MGS Delta compared to the original MGS3 releases has changed in a couple of ways:
- Slopes to not slow down your walking speed anymore
- the box equip animation is more similar to the one of MGS V:TPP, meaning it'll stop your momentum and forces you to stand still during the equip/unequip process
- the box does let you walk up stairs faster compared to regular walking, however rolling up and down stairs is still the fastest
- speaking of rolling, on even ground, rolling is also faster vs regular walking, so if you want to traverse fast, you need to roll everywhere
