The Fear can be beaten with the trap (apparently only in Legacy Style)

Before the fight:
get the IR goggles in warehouse 1 before the fight, put on ez gun and stun and enter the fight

• heal poison (leave arrow in)
• go to the trap tree and drop down once the fear is under you
• throw stun at the fear
• CQC the fear, stamina should be 75%
• chase after the fear and hit him with the EZ gun and quick shots
